Indian Lions Roar In England

The decider T20 match of the Vitality Series was played in County Ground, Bristol. The series was already on equalizer (1-1). So this 3rd T20 match was important for both sides to win. Before this match India and England face each other 12 times and both of them won 6 times each.

As seen in the previous 2 matches, which team won the toss chooses to bowl first. So this time also it happens the same. Team India elected to bowl.

English batsman batted fiercely especially their openers. Jason Roy and Jos Buttler showed their quality batting. In the powerplay England score was 73 with no loss. Jason Roy scored 67(31) which has 4 fours and 7 sixes. This was his 3rd T20 fifty which comes in 23 balls only. With Roy Jos Buttler continued his form and added 34 runs in 21 balls. For first wicket they make 50 runs partnership off 27 balls in which Roy and Buttler contributed 23 and 26 runs respectively.

Despite got beaten by English batsman arduously, the Indian bowlers bowl very well in last few overs. Deepak Chahar make his T20I debut for India and seized 1 wicket. His first wicket was of Jason Roy which was very prime for India. From India side Hardik Pandya showed best bowling figures. In his 4 over spell he took 4 wickets and give 38 runs. In the end of the inning England had 198 on the board and loose 9 wickets.

After the first innings India came to chase 198. This time also Shikhar Dhawan got out immaturely and K.L also couldn’t do much this time but Rohit Sharma appreciable knock. He made his 3rd T20 hundred. He also completes 2000 T20I runs. For 3rd wicket Kohli and Rohit partnershiped for 53 runs. After Kohli, Hardik comes to crease and contributed 33 runs from his side. He smashed the bowlers with an magnificent strike rate of 235.71.

Finally, India won the T20 Vitality series in the 19th over. Rohit Sharma was awarded man of the match and man of the series. So, lets’s see if team India can show this kind of dominance in ODI and Test matches as well. So till then stay tuned.
