This India Vs Australia 2nd ODI was one of a spectacle to watch, as the guest team showed their wit and will towards the series and equalize the series with (1-1). In India Vs Australia 2nd ODI team Australia chooses to bat and didn’t get a good start as their skipper out of form still continues.

Handscomb himself scored only 20 runs and got out against Jadeja. After him, Marcus Stoinis just added handful of runs and looses his wicket to Shami. Although, Glenn Maxwell played beautifully and partnershipped with Shaun Marsh for 94 runs to bring Australia back in game. Shaun Marsh scored his 7th ODI hundred with the help of 10 fours. In this innings, Maxwell was very luckey. He used his DRS to change the umpire’s decision and Rohit Sharma dropped his catch, when he was on 42.

In the same over Bhuvneshwar sent them pavillion and crust the Aussies hope to pass the 300 target. Shaun Marsh scored 131 in 123 balls with the strike rate of 106.5 which include 11 fours and 3 sixes. Maxwell also scored 48 in 37 with strike rate of 129.73 which include 5 fours and 1 six. After them in the last 2-3 overs Jhye Richardson, Nathan Lyon, Peter Siddle and Jason Behrendorff couldn’t do much and and Aussies final score was 298/9.

From Indian bowling side, Bhuvneshwar bagged 4 wickets in his 10 over spell with an economy of 4.5. Shami got 3 wickets and 1 by Ravindra Jadeja. Mohammed Siraj threw 76 runs on his debut.

In return to Australia’s 298, India got a decent start. Both openers Rohit Sharma and Shikhar Dhawan scored 43 and 32. After them Kohli played like a captain and scored his 39th ODI hundred with 5 fours and 2 sixes. Both Kohli and Rohit partnershipped for 53 runs. Then, Ambati Rayudu came to crease. This time also he couldn’t do much and scored only 24 runs.

Until then, strike rate was increasing but the best finisher in the world MS Dhoni and best chasing batsman Virat Kohli was on the ground and nothing was impossible for them. Both of them played superbly and didn’t let the strike to increase. In the 44th over Richardson got Kohli’s wicket which was big blow for India.

After Kohli’s wicket Dinesh Karthik came. Everyone wants him to play like Nidahas Trophy final. Till the end, both Dhoni and Karthik played and chased the 298 in the last over. Dhoni and Karthik scored unbeaten 55 and 25 runs and equalize the series by 1-1 and won the India Vs Australia 2nd ODI. The final Melbourne match will the decide the winner.
