India vs England 2nd ODI : England gave humiliating defeat to India at Lord’s

In India vs England 2nd ODI Eoin Morgan’s English team thrash Virst Kohli’s Indian team with a massive margin of 86 runs on lord’s in London. Everyone was feeling bit odd when England skipper Eoin Morgan elected to bat first because in the T20 series and last ODI who is winning the toss elected to bowl first.

In India vs England 2nd ODI also England got a good start from its opening batsman. As Jason Roy scored 40(42) and Jonny Bairstow scored 38(31) balls. After Bairstow, Joe Root enters the ground and playes a skillful knock of 113 runs off 116 balls which include 8 fours and 1 six. This was Joe’s 12th ODI hundred. England’s ODI Captain Eoin Morgan and Test Captain Joe Root made 103 runs partnership for 3rd wicket. Eoin Morgan made his 38th ODI fifty.

However, this time Ben Stokes and wicket-keeper Jos Buttler couldn’t do much this time. In the last overs, where England need hard hitting from its plyers. Joe was just few runs short, David Willey took whole burden on his shoulders. He scored 51 off 33 balls with an outstanding strike rate of 161.29. In the end, England put a gigantic 322 runs on board.

In 2nd innings India’s outstanding batting order shattered. Rohi. Mark Wood bowled Rohit Sharma out. t Sharma and Shikhar Dhawan gave solid start to India also they gave India a 49 run stand. Rohit Sharma got out by Mark Wood, rather making 2 consecutive centuries in previous 2 matches. Rohit Scored just 15 runs off 26 balls. As the game continuous, Shikhar and K.L got out too. India was never in the chasing position.

In the middle overs, Kohli and Raina added few runs but couldn’t hang on to the crease much. V. Kohli got LBW by Ali and Raina also bundled up by spinner Rashid. After them the most experienced player of the Indian squad plays a stressful innings. He find difficulty to rotate the strike with Hardik Pandya. These 2 batsman tried very hard to chase but English bowlers were bowling magnificently. Plunkett was the most successful bowler. He took 4 wickets by giving 46 runs.

As a result, Man of the Match trophy was awarded to Joe Root for his outstanding century.
